CapeSport 100: For Sale!
Our first CapeSport 100 is almost finished. It has bow been painted and is ready for its road test and final prep.
The car is for sale and we look forward to sharing the limelight with the new owner.
Designed visually as a 100S our clear intention is to bring these early cars out of the shadow of their older brother - the 3000. We have developed the parts and this first CapeSport 100 shows you what can be achieved. You can buy the parts or buy the car - the choice is yours!

Restored inner body assembly modified to suit project requirements. Outer panels in aluminium as 100S including louvred bonnet. External fittings as replica 100S including details such as radiator grille, wrap around perspex windshield, exclusive bonnet hold down pins and racing style fuel filler cap.
Original 100 engine fully rebuilt to fast road spec including high compression pistons and camshaft. All relevant components lightened and balanced with inlet and exhaust ports gas flowed and mated to manifolds. Exhaust will be side or rear exit of increased bore size with tubular manifold. Ancillaries to include uprated starter motor, alternator conversion, new distributor with electronic ignition, aluminium radiator, silicon hoses, and alloy rocker cover, etc.
Gearbox will be original non-overdrive fully rebuilt with new components where required. Propshaft will be fully reconditioned original fully balanced. Axle will be original fully reconditioned with rare 3.545 crown-wheel and pinion set to compliment the 100S type non overdrive configuration. All replacement parts will be new as will mountings and fixings etc.
Powder coated components including adjustable trunnions, polyurethane bushings and uprated anti roll bar.
Rear suspension includes uprated leaf springs, telescopic shock absorber conversion and uprated panhard rod.
Steering will incorporate our high ratio collapsible safety column with new idler and interconnecting rods.
All assembly parts including king pins, wire wheel hubs, wheel bearings, suspension shackles, nuts and bolts etc are new
Front and rear brakes will be converted to disc brakes.
Master cylinder will be new to operate a safety tandem system with new reservoirs, pipes and hoses.
Original handbrake lever and mechanism, fully restored and chromed with new cable.
Uprated clutch cover, plate and bearing with hydraulic operating system via new master cylinder, fluid reservoir, pipes and hoses.
Custom aluminium petrol tank constructed to suit correct 100S type filler cap on rear bodywork.
Electronic fuel pump, new pipes and hoses to feed via inline filter to uprated M spec carburettors with cold air box.
A custom wiring loom will be made to suit the overall spec of the car including options such as spot lamps etc, to be agreed.
Wiring loom appearance will be to original waxed cotton.
All main cables, relays, regulators, flasher and fuse boxes and connectors,etc will be new including uprated battery.
All lighting will be Lucas where possible and will include replica 100S 'Le-Mans' headlamps.
All instruments will be fully reconditioned to correct original type including additional oil temperature gauge as fitted to 100S.
Five new FIA standard 4.5” 72 spoke painted wire wheels fitted with correct inner tubes and quality radial tyres - all balanced and fitted.
Final colour scheme may require wheels to be painted.
Wheels will be fitted with correct chromed spinners.
Seats will be trimmed in leather to match 100S design with slotted backs and fitted with runners and all necessary packers and fixings.
Three point harnesses are included for driver and passenger.
Flooring and boot space will be covered in a combination of woollen carpets and ribbed Armacord where required, the passenger space floor will have heat resistant material and underfelt.
Dashboard, doors, footwells and rear quarters will be trimmed to suit interior colour choice and overall scheme.
Steering wheel to be 100S replica fitted to quick release boss in a choice of slotted or drilled spokes.
The cockpit will be fitted with a tonneau cover.
General equipment will include a period toolkit and jack, current first aid kit and fire extinguisher.
The spare wheel will be secured with correct 100S leather strap.
This car is the launch model of the CapeSport 100 and as with the CapeSport 3000 we are courting interest from various quarters wishing to test the car for feature articles in a variety of magazines.
This process usually puts 500+ miles on the car which is a sensible running in distance, and during this time anything requiring attention has usually come to light and can be attended to prior to official hand-over.
The car will have a full MOT, 12 months road fund licence and a full tank of petrol.
