Here’s what can happen when a DIY job goes badly wrong.
This 3000 Mk III was leaking fuel and our customer decided to take a look and remove the fuel tank in his garage at home. Unfortunately there was some fuel left inside and the fumes ignited when the central heating boiler fired-up. The result? A loud explosion, the garage going up in flames and a melting Austin Healey! Fortunately our customer escaped major injury, but the same couldn’t be said for the car.
in action
After just one phone call to Cape, our customer was delighted to learn that we could undertake all the work required to return the car to its former glory - unlike the quote he’d already received where the work would be split between a number of separate companies rather than co-ordinated by one specialist.
