1963 Coupe project BJ7

Some of us have lists of things we must do before we die. This original English BJ7 forms the basis of one of ours – it will make the perfect donor for a CapeSport fixed head coupe.

Our first CapeSport 3000 set new standards for customers needing European cruising abilities with styling to match. Our latest production, the CapeSport 100 with its 100S styling and pure roadster theme, will blow the cobwebs from this overlooked section of the Healey marketplace.

Since 1953 the factory had explored fixed head coupe designs, so much so that Donald Healey commissioned a unique coupe as his personal car. In the early 1960’s the factory developed two new coupe ideas which still exist today but nothing made it to production.
