Our CapeSport 3000s have proved that it is possible to develop an Austin Healey to meet modern day expectations and many cars have benefited from our exclusive CapeSport upgrades both here in our workshops or by mail-order delivered for home or garage installation around the world.

The CapeSport range of bespoke built cars now includes the first CapeSport 100 which will be officially unveiled at Goodwood in May where it will be for sale.

what’s next I hear you ask?

Our reputation for being the industry’s ‘good ideas department’ is something we are very proud of and even amongst our staff and suppliers there are constant expectations for new projects and parts.

so what about a ‘new’ CapeSport model?

The generic description for these cars is ‘open top sports’, but one interesting feature is how comfortably the design accepts a hardtop and taking this viewpoint to its natural conclusion we are pleased to announce that the latest CapeSport concept is the CapeSport Coupe!

Both the Donald Healey Motor Company and Austin developed a number of fixed head vehicles including Donald’s own ‘company’ car so the idea is not new but building a coupe from a CapeSport perspective will get very interesting indeed – I promise!

This could possibly be the most significant project we have undertaken to date and we have selected the best prototype specialists to develop a design which you can see here.

It combines all of the 3000s natural lines together with current accents and appointments that will be tailored to your requirements including central locking, electric windows, satellite navigation and a unique interior scheme plus other options too special to mention at this early stage!

Our brief is to create a fresh interpretation of the coupe package rather than copying Donald and Geoff’s designs from the mid 60s, although this is clearly where we drew our inspiration. The build will be unlike any other being undertaken in this market and offers a unique opportunity to be part of the design and prototype creation of this car.
