Friday 16th May to Sunday 18th May
What a weekend that was…
The timing of the Goodwood show was perfect, giving us a unique opportunity to show off three of our latest restorations. Together, AHX II, the Monte Carlo 3000 and our very own CapeSport 100, created a jaw-dropping display which drew lots of interested customers to our stand on the Friday and the Saturday.
Who says you can’t mix business with pleasure?
It was great to relax with customers, colleagues and friends at the Hog Roast on Friday and at the rather grander Gala Dinner at Goodwood House on Saturday where we were lavished with an endless flow of champagne and superb cuisine.
On Sunday, the sun broke through just in time for the concours competition on the front lawn at Goodwood House, where it was a pleasure to assist Derek Mayor and his team with the judging. Good job the hang-over had faded by then!
Well organised events deserve trade support
Sponsoring the Special Vehicle Display seemed the perfect way to support this event. Thanks to Paul Woolmer, we were associated with what must have been the largest collection of historic and sporting Sprites seen in a long time, plus an amazing collection of 100’s and 3000’s including famous circuit and rally cars.
“The event was a roaring success,” enthused Steve Norton, Cape’s MD. “We thoroughly enjoyed taking part and were delighted to be able to support Phil Gardner and his committee whose hard work really made the event one to remember.”
